Two years ago I moved into a house, which had beautiful landscaping and garden beds. With the new surroundings my two dogs decided they needed to mark their territory by digging up and destroying the gardens. After a number of attempts to replant flowers and seedlings the saga continued. It was time to come up with another solution as I was wasting my time and money.
My dogs are my kids and I needed to find an easy and DIY solution that would keep them out of the flowerbeds. After researching on the internet, I found the Nemtek PetStop kit, a solar powered electric fencing solution, which appeared to be just what I needed.
I bought the PetStop kit, which can cover a 24 metre area. I knocked in the fibre rods, clipped on the pet springs and ran 3 stands of ecostop polywire. The earth spike acted as a stand on which the Energizer, with a solar panel and a battery, was connected.
I was amazed at how simple it was to install this kit – as easy as 1 2 3!
After introducing both dogs to the electric fence, my male, being the stubborn one tried his luck again and shocked himself. He groaned once, but since then both dogs stay away from the fence and I am happy to say that I have saved my beautiful garden, and have not harmed my babies.
